Volunteers make Just A Short Run a success each year.
Some you see on race day, others are behind the scenes doing things weeks or even months ahead. If you are not participating this year or want to do more while you watch the event, think about volunteering this year.
Here are some of the tasks we need help with:
- Sponsor Solicitation - We always could use your help here. Sponsorship money and in-kind donations allow us to make the event better for the participants and help us make a larger donation after the race.
- Race Bag Stuffing - Participants love to get free stuff and we need help stuffing all the bags This year's date is March 18th. Free Food and drinks provided
- Packet Pickup/Late Registration - Volunteers are needed at Elite Runners & Walkers Robinson location to help distribute the race bags and race shorts. Wednesdy March 26 10am-7pm, Thursday MArch 27 11am-8pm, & Friday March 28 10am-7pm.
- Race Day Late Registration & Chip distribution - We need 30-40 people to help distribute race bags and the Championchip timing chips race morning.
- Water Stops - runners need to be refueled and the aid stations are their best friends during the event. You can also make the race a success by being the best cheering sections as well. So grab some friends, co-workers, or even family and be part of JASR 2006.
- Setup and tear-down - All the course stuff needs to get out there and come back, and this tireless group of individuals will start at 4:30 am race day and finish up around noon. We can divide the taks up if you have a group which can only do one or the other due to time.
